For law firms

An accurate, sourced profile of your firm — built from public records.

lawfirm.dev maintains a clean directory of law firms, assembled from public Florida Bar data and state Secretary of State filings. Legal-technology tools use it when they need accurate firm information. Here's what we keep about your firm, and how to make sure it's right — at no cost.

What this is

Your firm, assembled from official records.

Firms aren't listed in bar directories the way individual attorneys are — so we build your firm's profile by clustering the bar records of the attorneys who practice there and matching them to official state business filings (in Florida, the Division of Corporations / SunBiz). The result is a firm record with its roster, entity status, and contact details — each one traced to its source.

We are not a directory you pay to be listed in, not a lead-generation service, and not a review site. There's nothing to buy. Our job is to keep the public picture of your firm accurate.

What we keep about your firm.

Name & known variations

Your firm's canonical name plus the spellings and forms it appears under across sources.

Current attorney roster

The attorneys practicing at your firm, each linked to their own bar record and titles.

Entity status & formation date

Pulled from the Secretary of State — whether the entity is active, and when it was formed — not guessed from a website.

Website, address & practice areas

The firm's public contact and focus details, with the source and date attached to each field.

Keeping it accurate

How to make your firm's profile right.

  1. 1

Have your attorneys verify their own records.

Most of what we show about a firm — who works there, their titles and contact details — flows up from individual attorney records. The fastest path to an accurate firm profile is to have each attorney review theirs at lawfirm.dev/verify. It's free and takes a minute.

  2. 2

Ask us to correct firm-level details.

For the firm's own fields — name, website, entity details — email support@lawfirm.dev and we'll correct them against a cited source. Self-service firm editing is on our roadmap.

Why an accurate profile matters.

You show up correctly

The tools that matter — conflict checks, client intake, CRMs — see the right firm, roster, and contact details.

Your roster stays current

Lateral hires and departures are reflected as your attorneys keep their own records up to date.

Sourced, not stale

Entity status comes from the state itself, not a website crawl that went out of date six months ago.

Free for everyone

We never charge firms or attorneys, and there is no paid placement. Accuracy isn't a product we sell back to you.

Our promises.

  • Firms and attorneys never pay. No listing fees, no premium tier, no paid placement — ever.
  • Every fact has a source. Each detail we hold is traced to where we found it and when we last verified it.
  • Corrections are reviewed and propagate. Once a correction is accepted it flows to every tool that relies on our data.
  • We identify ourselves honestly. No spam, no selling your information, and a real person on the other end of support.

Start with your attorneys.

The quickest way to a correct firm profile is to have your attorneys verify their own records — it's free and takes a minute each.
